It is possible for budgies to recover from a cold on their own. Whether a budgie can recover from a cold is closely related to the severity of the cold. If your budgie's cold is not severe, it may be curable. If the condition is more serious and cannot heal on its own, treatment should be taken promptly to prevent the condition from becoming more serious. In severe cases, it may cause difficulty breathing and even death in the later stages. During treatment, special medicinal powder can be fed to the budgerigar. Afterwards, the temperature of the environment needs to be raised, and the secretions in the nasal cavity need to be wiped clean in time to keep the nose unobstructed.

Tips:

When raising budgerigars in winter, it is recommended to place them indoors for maintenance and lay straw in the cage to keep them warm. Avoid cold symptoms in your budgie.
