How to raise zebra dog heads:

1. Raise alone. If you want to keep a zebra doghead, be sure to separate it from other fish to ensure it has enough space and prevent it from harming other fish. Try not to feed it live animals, otherwise it will attract it to attack other fish, which may frighten them.

2. Environment. It is best to prepare a fish tank that is over 40 centimeters, because the zebra dogfish is a big guy. Therefore, the fish tank can be paved with some bottom sand that is beneficial to the hair color of zebra doghead fish. It is recommended to be stream sand, or fine sand, coral sand, etc. Because in the wild, they will bury themselves in the sand and then wait for their prey to pass by, hunting in this way of ambush. Generally, the paving is 3-4 cm thick, leaving enough space for them to be buried.

3. Lighting. It is best to choose a warm yellow light for lighting, because zebra doghead fish do not like too bright an environment, and such an environment is not conducive to hair color. If there are dim lights, or some places that block the lights, it is also good to make the fish tank half bright and half dark.

4. Food. The daily food for feeding zebra doghead fish should be animal bait. But don't feed too much at one time, as this will make the water turbid. And feeding too much at one time will also burden the fish’s gastrointestinal tract. Because zebra doghead fish is carnivorous, daily feeding of shrimps, loaches, snails, etc. can meet its daily food needs.
