To raise red parrot fish, you must first provide sufficient oxygen, because they have a high demand for oxygen, and it is best to provide oxygen 24 hours a day. Secondly, the water temperature and quality must be ensured. It is best to maintain the water temperature at 28 degrees and control the pH value between 6.5-7.0. Let the parrot fish receive 1 to 2 hours of red light every day, and let it live in a darker environment for the rest of the time. Do not frighten the parrot fish, otherwise it will easily lose color.

How to raise red parrots:

1. Adequate oxygen. Parrot fish are a hybrid species and have a natural defect, that is, their lips cannot close congenitally, so they have a high demand for oxygen. Breeders need to install an oxygen pump to ensure sufficient oxygen in the fish tank.

2. Water temperature and water quality. The water temperature that red parrot fish likes is 22-26 degrees, and it likes slightly acidic new water. Keepers can adjust the environment in the fish tank according to the habits of parrot fish to make them more comfortable.

3. Feeding. Breeders can choose special feed for red parrot fish, which can help them increase their body color. When feeding the feed, it can be combined with live bait such as brine shrimp, red worms, mealworms, etc. to make the nutrition more comprehensive.

4. Lighting. Red parrots are more sensitive to light. Strong light exposure needs to be given regularly and quantitatively. Keep it exposed to bright light for 1-2 hours a day, and then let it spend the rest of the day in a darker environment. Remember: the light exposure time should not be too long, and the environment of the fish tank should be kept relatively dim after turning off the lights. In this way, once there is light again, you will find that the parrot is much redder than before. If the fish tank is in a room not facing the sun, add two hours of light every day and then turn off the lights. If the room has sufficient light, it is necessary to properly block the light in the room after the light is irradiated, so that the fish tank is in a dim state. (Light time cannot exceed 3 hours a day).
