Generally, a big-headed parrot can get to know its owner after a month or so of keeping it. If you want them to recognize their owner, the owner needs to feed and water them personally, and the owner needs to spend more time with them. In this way, they can understand that the owner is not hostile to them and slowly let down their guard. If there is not much contact, it is difficult for the big-headed parrot to recognize its owner.

Precautions for feeding large-headed parrots:

1. Large-headed parrots like to eat grains with shells. They should mainly eat millet, barnyard millet, and millet every week. One or two servings of green vegetables is enough.

2. The chicks stay in the nest for 34 to 38 days and begin to live independently at about 40 days. Young birds mature sexually at 6 to 8 months and begin courting and breeding. The optimal breeding age is 1 to 3 years old.

3. Keep warm in winter, and the indoor temperature should not be lower than 5℃. The temperature is higher in summer, and ventilation is generally required when temperatures are above 30°C.

4. Clean drinking water should be replaced every day, and feces should be cleaned once a week. In summer, be careful not to expose the parrot directly to strong light.
