Five steps for cat bathing:

1. Use a comb to unclog the cat’s hair first to prevent some hair from getting tangled, which will not be good after getting wet. Open. Trim your cat's toenails so that they don't get too slippery or hurt themselves during the bath.

2. Use your left hand to carefully pinch the back of the cat’s neck, gently put the cat into the water, hold it with a little force, and use your right hand to hold a small cup or nozzle to spray the cat’s coat and neck. Wet.

3. Rub an appropriate amount of shampoo into the cat's fur, from top to bottom, and do it as quickly as possible without procrastination. Rinse it with water as soon as possible after foaming. Be sure to rinse it thoroughly to avoid leaving any residual foam on the cat.

4. You can use a cleansing sponge dipped in water to wet the cat’s head to prevent excessive water from flowing down the head and into the eyes. If you don't have a cleansing sponge, you can use your hands to wet the cat's head with water, pour a small amount of bath liquid and rub it gently. Be careful not to get the water into the cat's eyes and ears. Flat-faced cats should pay attention to cleaning the cat’s whisker pads and nasal cavity. After washing, use a sponge to absorb water and remove the foam.

5. After taking the cat out of the water, quickly absorb the water from its body with an absorbent towel. Use the lowest heat setting of the hair dryer to blow the cat's coat. If the cat is more accustomed to the sound of the hair dryer, you can gradually increase the air volume of the hair dryer, but be careful not to let the hot air burn the cat.

Precautions for bathing cats:

1. Do not take a bath when your cat is unwell or sick, to avoid catching cold and aggravating the condition.

2. Do not bathe kittens that have just been weaned. They have just left the mother cat not long ago. Their resistance is relatively weak and they are prone to illness.

3. Kittens under 6 months old should not be bathed frequently as they are prone to illness.

4. Do not bathe within 2 weeks after vaccination, because cats may have local or systemic reactions after vaccination, and bathing can cause other diseases.

5. Female cats should not take a bath in the late stages of pregnancy to avoid miscarriage.

6. After taking a bath in summer, do not expose your cat to the hot sun to avoid heat stroke.

7. After taking a bath in winter, pay attention to keeping warm in time to prevent getting sick.

8. Don’t bathe too frequently. The elasticity of a cat’s skin and the luster of its coat are maintained by sebum. Bathing too frequently will cause a large amount of sebum to be lost, resulting in reduced skin elasticity and susceptibility to skin diseases. Disease, the coat becomes rough and easy to break. Generally, indoor cats should be washed twice a month, and outdoor cats should be washed once a month.
