How to raise hoopoe birds:

1. Bird cage configuration. Generally, wire cages or bamboo cages are used to raise hoopoe, which should be covered with fine sand and protected from sunlight.

2. Adjust your diet. The chicks are fed raw minced meat, soybean meal and a small amount of bone meal mixed with water. They can quickly adapt to the artificial environment and can eat a small amount of artificial pellet feed as adults.

3. Homemade feed. The feed usually fed is homemade. Prepare 100 grams of bean noodles, mix 1 cooked egg, 50 grams of fresh minced meat and a small amount of vegetable leaves, and mix evenly. It is best to feed 1-3 insects every day.

4. Take a bath regularly. Hoopoe likes water baths, 1-2 times a week, and the appropriate room temperature is 12-18°C in winter.

5. Hygiene and cleanliness. Brush the manure support board at the bottom of the cage once every 1-2 days, clean the food cans and water cans, and replace the sand and soil at the bottom of the cage every week.
