Pica in rabbits:

1. Pica eating. After the mother rabbit gives birth, she will protect some or all of the babies she gave birth to. This situation occurs most often in primiparous female rabbits, and it mostly occurs within 3 days after giving birth. There are many reasons for this, such as the female rabbit being frightened and the offspring having a peculiar smell.

2. Trichophagia. There are two types: self-eating and other-eating. It will eat its own hair or the hair of its companions. It is caused by insufficient minerals in the body.

3. Geophagia. Some rabbits will lick the soil on the ground, especially the soil at the base of walls and the alkali chips on the walls. This is caused by insufficient or imbalanced mineral content in the diet.

4. Wood-eating addiction. Some rabbits like to eat wooden things, and they have chewed up the benches and tables at home. Mostly for grinding teeth.

5. Foot-eating addiction. Adult rabbits generally have foot eating habits. This condition is often seen when the rabbit's feet are injured, which will irritate the rabbit and make it unable to stop biting.
