Causes of sudden death of cockatiels:

1. Excessive fright. Cockatiels have a weak heart and will crash around when frightened, possibly even to death.

2. Cold. Cockatiels are particularly susceptible to colds, and they cannot tolerate the effects of treatment drugs. A severe cold and the use of cold medicines will directly lead to death.

3. Overeating. A cockatiel's food is single and overeating will cause it to die suddenly in the long run. The food you usually feed should be diverse. You can wash cucumbers, vegetables and other fruits and vegetables, dry them and occasionally cut them into small pieces.

4. Shortness of breath. When feeding a cockatiel, if the milk powder is too thin, the amount is large, and the angle of the spoon is too steep, a large amount of milk powder may be blocked in the parrot's mouth, and the parrot will choke to death if it cannot swallow it.

5. Infection with parasites. Cockatiels infected with parasites and suffering from gastric perforation can also suffer sudden death if the cockatiels are not fed deworming medicine regularly.
