Giant side-necked turtles are kept in deep water. The Giant Necked Turtle belongs to the deep-water turtle class, and the adult Giant Necked Turtle should be kept in an environment that is more than 50 times its size, giving it ample space to move. In daily breeding, attention should be paid to temperature differences. Excessive temperature differences are an important factor in the giant side-necked turtle becoming sick or even dying suddenly. In addition to deep water cultivation, it should also be provided with a basking space, no glass barrier, scattered or direct light, and an environment with a temperature of 28-33°C.

Precautions for raising superstar side-necked turtles:

1. Space. Side-necked turtles are large and like to bask on their backs. The space in the breeding container should be large enough to provide a basking platform for them to bask in the sun and rest. Around the terrace, you can also plant some different green plants to create a good natural environment.

2. Feeding. Side-necked turtles are omnivores when they are young, and their main food is molluscs, various insects and aquatic plants. Adult turtles mainly eat plant-based food, and they also like aquatic plants such as water hyacinth and water plants, as well as vegetables, fruits, and other foods.

3. Water quality. Good water quality is a must for breeding side-necked turtles. It is recommended to change the water once a week to two weeks, and the water change amount should not exceed one-third of the total water volume. After feeding, the residue should be cleaned up in time to avoid contaminating the water quality.

4. Water temperature. The level of water temperature will affect the appetite of side-necked turtles, which in turn affects the growth rate. It is best to maintain the water temperature at around 28 degrees.
