Amber hamsters are docile. Amber hamsters are very timid, basically non-aggressive, and highly adaptable. Generally, amber hamsters are very docile as long as they are not abused. When an amber hamster recognizes its owner, it will become more docile and closer to humans. The owner can touch and hug it at will. Sometimes it will take the initiative to run up to its owner and play with it.
