Symptoms of parrots accumulating food:

How to deal with food accumulation in parrots:

1. No water or food. It is necessary to deprive the parrot of water and food first to prevent the parrot from continuing to take in water or food, which will increase the burden on the crop.

2. The parrot lifts it upside down. If the parrot's food accumulation is serious and the food in the crop is digested slowly, you can lift the parrot upside down and manually remove the food and liquid in the parrot's crop.

3. Food aspiration. You can use a hose with a syringe to extract the food from the parrot's crop. If the owner doesn't know how to do this, it is recommended to go directly to the pet hospital.

4. Feed digestive tablets. Feed yeast tablets or raw lactase to parrots to regulate the crop flora, restore gastrointestinal vitality, and promote digestion. Take 1 tablet 2 times a day for 3-5 days.

5. Surgical treatment. If parrot crop disease is caused by foreign body obstruction, surgery is required to remove the foreign body, otherwise it may endanger the life of the parrot.
