The correct way to feed pigeons health-care sand

1. Generally, the health-care sand should be fed after feeding the feed every morning. Feed about 5g of health sand.

2. If it is during the feeding period, as the squabs grow up, it is necessary to gradually increase the amount of health-care sand feeding for the birthing pigeons.

For medium-sized pigeons, each pair needs to be fed 3.5-4.1g of health sand every day from egg laying to hatching. Three days before the squabs hatch, each pair needs to be fed 4-4.8g of health-care sand every day. Within one week after the squabs hatch, each pair needs to be fed 7.5g of health-care sand every day. At two weeks of age, each pair needs to be fed 9.6g of health sand per day. At three weeks of age, each pair needs to be fed 13g of health sand per day. At four weeks of age, each pair needs to be fed 13.2g per day.

3. The amount of health-care sand feeding for pigeons needs to be adjusted not only according to the production period, but also according to the output.

If each pair of pigeons gives birth to 1.5 squabs, each pair of pigeons needs to be fed 7g of health sand. If each pair of pigeons gives birth to 1.2 squabs, each pair of pigeons needs to be fed 6.2g of health sand.

4. For meat pigeons, the daily intake of health sand accounts for about 5-10% of the feed intake.
