The Berg Cape tortoise is suitable for dry breeding. The Cape Berg tortoise lives mainly on the west coast of South Africa, where the rainy season is long and rainfall is high. During the rainy season in summer, Cape Berg tortoises often inhabit rock crevices and their bodies are very dry. They can tolerate extreme seasonal changes such as rain and snowfall. In addition, water spraying is needed during dry winters to maintain the humidity in the Berg Cape tortoise's living environment.

Raising methods of Cape Berg tortoise:

1. Breeding environment. Stones or wood can be placed in the environment to facilitate the Cape Berg tortoise to hide, and watering can be regularly sprinkled or water basins placed to maintain a certain humidity.

2. Temperature. The ambient temperature is different in winter and summer. The highest temperature in summer is about 32℃ and in winter is about 25℃.

2. Diet. The main food is cacti, and you can also feed some carrots, pumpkins, and leafy vegetables. Maintain the feeding frequency at about 3 to 4 times a week.
