Things to note when bringing a golden retriever puppy home
1. Newly arrived puppies cannot be bathed
When puppies leave their original environment and group, they are prone to endocrine disorders and reduced resistance. At this time, even vaccinated puppies are likely to induce other serious diseases under conditions such as colds.
It takes 15 days after receiving the dog to bathe it. Dogs can only be bathed two months after they are born or if they are disease-free for ten days after purchase, and one week after being vaccinated.
2. Don’t be too excited
The dog has just changed its environment and its own resistance has decreased. But there are many dog owners who do it because of excitement, curiosity, novelty, and a series of reasons. I always want to hug and take pictures, but in fact this is not good for the health of the puppies. It is best to let it sleep honestly, and it is best to put it in a cage if possible.
3. Don’t go out
Puppies have weak resistance, so don’t run around. It is recommended not to go out before 4 months.
4. Don’t feed indiscriminately
The digestive system of puppies is not fully developed, so it is best not to feed them anything other than 3 meals of dog food a day. Please start trying general dog snacks when puppies are 4 months old. They should not be eaten until their gastrointestinal development is complete. Remember to soak dog food in boiling water for 15 minutes before feeding. It is best to shut down the machine for an hour after eating, and do not do strenuous exercise immediately to avoid spitting out the food.
