When does a Samoyed come into estrus? A female Samoyed dog goes into estrus for the first time about 6-8 months after birth; an adult Samoyed goes into estrus twice a year, usually from March to May in spring and September to November in autumn. Once; the estrus period lasts about 6-14 days. During this period, the owner must take good care of the dog.

The first estrus of a Samoyed female dog is about 6-8 months after birth, when the dog’s reproductive organs are basically mature. However, due to factors such as climate, environment, and growth conditions, some dogs come into estrus earlier, and some dogs come into estrus later.

Adult Samoyed female dogs will go into estrus twice a year, usually between March and May in spring, and between September and November in autumn. The main symptoms of estrus are that Samoyeds will become excited and restless, like to bark, urinate frequently, have red mucus flowing out of the vulva, like to be close to male dogs, etc. The period of estrus will last about 6-14 days.

During the period when the Samoyed is in estrus, you should pay attention to supplementing the dog with sufficient nutrition. You can feed the dog some nutritional paste, calcium powder, vitamins, etc. During estrus, if you do not plan to breed your dog, it is best to wear physiological pants for it. I also want to remind everyone that Samoyed dogs are likely to sneak out to look for a mate during estrus, and are prone to problems such as getting lost and car accidents. Therefore, we hope that the owner will do a good job in taking care of the dog, be sure to wear a leash on the dog when going out, and do not loosen the leash at will.
