How to deal with a dog’s wound after discovering it

3. Wound isolation: This is more important, because for skin injuries, dogs can easily lick the wound. Some books say that dog saliva has anti-inflammatory effects, but my feeling is that the more it licks, the more troublesome it becomes. Isolating a wound allows it to heal faster.

Dogs have hair, so they cannot use adhesive tape to stick gauze to their skin, so they have to use bandaging. Put a piece of gauze on the wound, then buy a roll of gauze and wrap it around the outside of the gauze, whether it is on the body or the leg, just wrap the cloth a few times and tie a knot.

4. Daily care: After completing the above tasks, one more thing you need to do is to observe the wound and surrounding area every day to see if there is any redness, swelling or suppuration.
