How to clean dog ears

The way to clean earwax is to use something called "tweezers" with separate tips like scissors to hold absorbent cotton and carefully wipe the inside of the ears. If you don't have such tweezers, you can use cotton swabs instead.
In addition, some dog breeds also have hair inside their ears. If the hair is too dense, dirt will accumulate and earwax will form, thus affecting the breathability of the ears. Especially for dog breeds with vertical ears such as Shih Tzu and Pekingese, it is more difficult to detect earwax, so they should be checked regularly and the hair in the ears should be pulled out frequently with finger tweezers.

Plug out the hair in the ear

Use your thumb and index finger to pluck out the hair on the outside of the ear, and then use tweezers to pluck out the hair deep inside the ear. The tweezers should be about 10cm in length. Due to the complex shape of the dog's ears, be careful not to pinch the skin when plucking the hair.
The hair deep inside the ears that cannot be reached by fingers should be pulled out with tweezers, and great care should be taken to avoid pinching the skin.

Clean the inside of the ears

The skin inside the ears is very thin, and it will cause pain if you wipe it directly with cotton wool. You can moisten it with clean water and then wipe it.
Press the ear and head with your left hand and put a few drops of ear cleaning water into the ear.
Place your hand closer to the tip of the tweezers and start wiping from the outside of the ear.
When the ears turn pink, they have been wiped clean.
