Why do dogs have black tongues

Black tongues in dogs may be a breed problem. Dogs such as Chow Chow and Shar-Pei have black tongues. Purple-black tongues are one of their characteristics, and black tongues are a sign of purebred dogs. If the dog is not a purebred dog, it may have elements of skewering. Chow Chow and Shar-Pei skewering dogs may also have this behavior. As long as your dog is healthy, it doesn't matter what color his tongue is.
