Pay attention to the color of dog vomit

Generally speaking, dogs are intolerant of hunger and not full, so as long as they eat too much, they will vomit! When vomiting, everyone must observe the color and shape of the vomit, so that we can know more clearly what is wrong with the dog.
1. If the dog vomits food and eats it back immediately, it will be fine after that. This kind of vomiting is physiological vomiting, that is, vomiting similar to rumination. There is no need to see a doctor for this kind of vomiting.
2. If the spitted out saliva is mostly due to an esophageal problem. For example: foreign body in the esophagus (food stuck in the esophagus, usually mostly bones).

Three. If the color of the vomit is clear or white, it is gastric juice, or gastric acid secreted by the stomach. Acute gastritis is the most common form of vomiting. (But if vomiting is normal after vomiting, you don’t need to see a doctor first, as long as you fast for 12 hours; if vomiting persists, you should see a doctor, because vomiting may also be caused by foreign body obstruction in the gastrointestinal tract or liver, kidney, or pancreatitis).

4. If the color of the vomitus is yellowish-green, it means that bile has been vomited out. Usually, if you see vomiting of this color, you need to see a doctor. Because this represents a lot of conditions, in addition to the above-mentioned liver, kidney, pancreas and other problems, there are also gastrointestinal ulcer problems.
5. When the color of the vomited out is brown, which is not the color of the feed or food, but the color of the gastric juice is brown, it means there is bleeding in the stomach. The most common ones are gastric ulcers and duodenal ulcers.
6. If it is bright red, then don’t hesitate anymore. This is acute bleeding. Get to the doctor quickly.

Analysis of the causes of vomiting in dogs from the frequency of vomiting

1. After eating, a large amount of normal stomach contents are vomited at one time, but this does not happen again in a short period of time. In this case, it means that the dog may have eaten too much.
2. Vomiting or retching occurs after eating, or 2-3 hours after eating. In this case, it is often acute gastric dilatation.
3. After eating, vomit frequently until all the contents are vomited. In this case, it is mostly caused by diseases of the stomach, duodenum, and pancreas.

Dogs often vomit, and the vomit is not food, and it is discolored. Gastritis, a foreign body in the stomach, a gastric mass, food poisoning, drug poisoning, or the initial stages of canine parvovirus may be suspected.

Of course, the above behaviors need to be dealt with when you have enough pet medical knowledge. If you are not sure and are unsure about the condition of your dog, you should send it to the pet hospital as soon as possible! Professionals are still needed to deal with these!
