Causes of dog trembling

When a dog is weak, it will be afraid of the cold. If the temperature is relatively low, dogs will tremble, just like people.
Dogs will tremble in the later stages of canine distemper. If this happens, it means that the canine distemper has reached a certain level. If the canine distemper has not been treated before, the hope may not be too great if you just start treatment at this stage.
If the dog has had canine distemper before, shivering will be a sequelae. This problem often occurs, but it is not harmful to health.
Typical symptoms of food poisoning are foaming at the mouth, convulsions or body shaking. Then the body becomes rigid and gradually turns toward death. To treat food poisoning, it is recommended to go to the hospital for treatment. In such a situation, time counts. Maybe if you treat it one minute earlier, you can be saved, but if you treat it one minute later, it may not work. In terms of medication, it depends on what caused it. The most common one is organophosphorus poisoning, which can be relieved with atropine and other drugs. Inducing vomiting and infusion may also be used during treatment, but these cannot be implemented at home.

Dog tremors are mainly due to epilepsy. The symptoms will be very similar to food poisoning. The attacks are intermittent, and the good times will be very bad. This situation is similar to human diseases.

If the twitching is constant, it is mostly caused by calcium deficiency, and the amplitude will be relatively large. Calcium deficiency is generally more common after childbirth.
In such a situation, it is recommended to infuse calcium supplement. If there is no condition for infusion, liquid calcium can also be used.

What to do if your dog is shaking

First of all, check if the dog is too heavy. The fatter the puppy is, the better. It should be kept thin. The size of the dog when it grows up depends on genetics. It does not mean that the fatter the dog ate as a child, the bigger it will be. Feeding them too fat will affect their height. All aspects of nutrition are sufficient. Too much weight is very harmful to the puppy's body, especially its joints. Originally, large dogs are prone to hip joint problems. The heavy body presses on the joints that have not yet developed. It would be strange not to have problems. After a dog has problems with its leg and foot joints, it will shake when walking.
Second, dog leg shaking is mostly caused by calcium deficiency. Many parents may not understand why there is calcium deficiency in dogs even though there is calcium in the dog food. There are many reasons for calcium deficiency in dogs, such as:

1. The calcium content in dog food is sufficient, but due to lack of absorption function, such as enteritis/loss of appetite, it will cause the dog to malabsorb calcium. 2. The calcium-containing tablets or calcium-containing dog food that dogs eat are unreasonable. They do not contain calcium and phosphorus, which leads to malabsorption of calcium. Therefore, if it is not absorbed if it is not eaten more, it will become a white supplement. three. The calcium content in food is insufficient, resulting in calcium deficiency.

Third, giving your dog calcium supplement is not just about eating calcium, but also vitamin D, calcium and phosphorus, which all promote calcium absorption. If the calcium does not contain these substances, then the calcium cannot be absorbed. I kept giving my dog liquid calcium, but I still had calcium deficiency when I went to the hospital for a checkup. That's what my vet told me. Later, I was given MAG super calcium, which is said to be made from shark cartilage and contains vitamin D, calcium and phosphorus, etc., which can promote the absorption of calcium. Eat like this for a while, dogDogs are indeed not deficient in calcium. It's back to normal, very happy.
Fourth, if you keep your dog at home or in a cage for a long time, your dog's health will not be good, and its legs will easily shake if there is no activity. Therefore, you should often take your dog out for a walk. In summer, take your dog for a walk in the evening when the sun is not so strong but there is still sunshine.

Fifth. If it's a puppy, the lack of security will shake it up. At this time, we should give the dog some comfort, touch more, hold the dog, and give the dog some warmth.
