What to do if a dog coughs in autumn

Before the onset of the disease, dogs generally have a history of going out, such as going for a walk, going to a pet shop or pet hospital, going to take a bath, etc. Generally speaking, mild tracheitis and bronchitis can heal on their own, usually in about 5-14 days. You can go to a pet hospital and ask the doctor to prescribe some medicine to help with recovery. However, if the situation is more serious and develops from dry cough, wet cough, paroxysmal cough to cough with phlegm, then owners should pay attention.
Generally speaking, in milder upper respiratory tract infections, there are generally no other problems except coughing. However, when the dog has a low fever, high and low body temperature, anorexia, and a large amount of secretions (i.e. pus) in the nasal cavity, nasal discharge), and may also have difficulty breathing, drowsiness, wheezing, etc. Then you need to send the dog to the hospital quickly for routine blood tests and X-rays to confirm whether the dog has pneumonia.
It is important to note that pneumonia is also contagious to other healthy dogs. If it is diagnosed with pneumonia, remember to isolate it from other dogs.
When you suffer from a mild upper respiratory tract infection and only have symptoms such as dry cough, you can take butoroline for treatment. However, if pneumonia or other systemic symptoms occur, antibiotic treatment is required.
