The black stuff at the base of the cat’s nails is mainly caused by the following reasons:

1. Injury when the cat’s nails are scratched will cause subcutaneous bleeding at the base of the nails. After a period of time, the coagulated blood will look like Like black patches.

2. If there are no symptoms such as hair loss, redness, swelling, or rotten nails, it means that you simply stepped on something dirty and the soil entered the nails, which looks black.

3. The precipitation of melanin at the root of the nail will cause black spots to appear at the root of the nail.

4. If you see inflammation or redness, it is likely to be caused by interdigital inflammation.

5. The hair follicles between the toes cause infections such as fungi and bacteria. Black spots may appear after a period of time, which can be treated with antifungal and antibiotic drugs;
