How soon after a dog dies from encephalitis can he get a second dog?
Viral encephalitis is contagious. If a dog at home has been infected with encephalitis before, it must be at least six months after death before getting a second dog. And the second dog must be vaccinated and given before it enters the house. Disinfect your home.
