There are usually three situations when cats bite their own nails. One is that the cat’s nails are broken, that is, split, and they will bite to remove the broken parts. The second is that the cat is trimming its body so that it can better catch prey. The last one is that cats are in a bad mood and suffer from depression, which is a phenomenon in which cats will self-mutilate.

Tip:

Cat’s nails are very long, sharp and have barbs. Today’s cats basically don’t need their nails. Parents should remember to clip them regularly. Nails, or put a claw grinding board to let it sharpen its claws by itself to prevent it from scratching things at home and accidentally injuring people.
