There is currently no effective treatment for cats infected with toxoplasmosis. When a cat has an acute attack, sulfa drugs can only be temporarily used for targeted treatment. Toxoplasmosis in cats is a very harmful disease and is also contagious to humans. It is recommended that pet owners take their cats to a regular pet hospital for treatment immediately when they find that their cats may be infected with this disease.
