Cats that have been vaccinated generally do not need injections if they are scratched and bleeding by a cat, because rabies is only contagious before and during the onset of the disease, and is transmitted through saliva and blood, and cats will basically not be infected after being vaccinated. There is rabies virus, so you don’t need to get an injection if you are scratched.
Tip:
Not all cats will carry rabies virus. Domestic cats generally do not have it, and stray cats or Wild cats are more likely to carry the virus.
