When a cat gives birth to a stillborn fetus, the subsequent ones may not necessarily be stillborn fetuses. If the first fetus is stillborn, it is necessary to consider that the cat has dystocia, and the owner needs to send it to the pet hospital for examination and delivery in time.

If there is still a fetus in the body, whether it is a live fetus or a stillborn fetus, immediate assisted delivery is required. Generally, assisted delivery can be performed by injecting oxytocin or caesarean section. Because dystocia can not only cause fetal death, but also affect the female cat and even lead to death.

The reasons why cats die after giving birth to their first litter

1. The female cat is giving birth for the first time and has insufficient experience. She uses improper force during licking after giving birth, resulting in the death of the kittens. Death, or suffocation after crushing the kitten while feeding.

2. The kittens are underdeveloped in the mother cat’s belly and have congenital diseases, so they die after birth.

3. The mother cat’s milk supply was insufficient and the breeder did not discover it in time. The kittens died because they could not absorb nutrients.
