How many hours does a cat sleep?
Cats can sleep about 16 to 20 hours a day, but they only have about four hours of true deep sleep. Because cats like to hunt at night, they sleep during the day to replenish their mental and physical strength. Moreover, cats are relatively lazy and not as lively as dogs, so they spend most of their time with their eyes closed. If they are disturbed or hear other sounds, cats will also react.
