Early symptoms of illness in folded-eared cats
Early symptoms of cats with folded ears include inactivity, tail becoming stiff, abnormal development of bones and joints in the cat’s hind limbs, deformed and bent foot bones, and appearing much shorter than normal cats. If you find that your cat has these symptoms, you should go to the hospital immediately for examination and take medicine in time to relieve the pain.
Cats with folded ears may not necessarily develop the disease, but as long as they have the gene for folded ears, they cannot have 100% normal bones. There is only a difference between severe and mild cases. The hereditary skeletal disease of cats with folded ears is called "chondroossification dysplasia", and the age of onset generally ranges from two months to six months old.
