When a newborn kitten has a broken tail, first stop the bleeding at the broken tail, and then use iodine or alcohol to clean and disinfect the wound. Generally, docking a kitten's tail has little effect on its growth and development. The owner only needs to pay attention to whether the cat's wound is infected. If the cat’s tail is red, swollen, or exuding, it is recommended that the owner take the cat to the pet hospital for treatment in time to avoid necrosis of the cat’s tail after too long. Once necrosis occurs, tail docking surgery may be required.
