So, how to prevent and treat cat lymphosarcoma? ​​​​​​

There are two types of lymphosarcoma: one occurs in lymphoid organs and tissues, which is called malignant lymphoma, and tumor cells (lymphocytes) may be present in the peripheral blood; the other occurs in the bone marrow, which is called lymphoid In leukemia, tumor cells (lymphocytes) are often found in the peripheral blood. The cause is unknown, but feline leukemia virus may be the causative agent of some feline lymphosarcoma. Surveys show that 1/3 of cats with leukemia develop lymphosarcoma. Nearly 70% of cats with lymphosarcoma test positive for feline leukemia virus.

1. Vincristine sulfate 0.75mg/m2, (m2 is the body surface area, m2=45×=body weight kg+7/body weight kg+90), on the 1st day, 8th day, 15th day and 22nd day. Intravenous injection 1 time, then recirculation;

2. Prednisone, 2 mg/kg per day for cats, taken orally every day for 25 days, then once every other day;

3. Cyclophosphamide, 300mg/m2 for cats. If granulosa cells are reduced, the dosage should be reduced.

4. When the number of granulosa cells is >3000/ul, myelosuppressive drugs can be used, such as cyclophosphamide (see systemic lupus erythematosus). If the granulosa cell count is <3000/ul or the platelet count is <75000/ul, the application of cyclophosphamide can cause infection or bleeding.
