The urinary system plays an important role in the cat's body and is an indispensable part of the body's metabolism. Only by removing old and useless waste from the body can yin and yang be reconciled, and the city gate can be opened wide to accept the arrival of new substances and nutrients. , if there is a problem with the cat's urinary system, it will inevitably affect the normal operation of the entire body. At this time, we need to check the cat.

The urinary system is one of the most commonly used systems for clinical ultrasound examination of pet cats.

1. Kidney scanning technology

Usually, the supine position is selected for scanning, and sometimes the lateral position is also used for scanning. Shave the area to be inspected and apply coupling agent. The depth of the kidneys varies with the size of the animal. High-frequency probes can be used for small cats. The examination of the right kidney is often limited by the size of the body, so using a slightly convex probe with a smaller contact surface will give better results. When scanning the kidneys, multiple cross-sectional and longitudinal scans should be performed from the cranial pole to the caudal pole, and from outside to inside, in order to completely evaluate the renal cortex, medulla, and collecting system.

2. Bladder scanning technology

Usually, the supine position is selected for scanning, but sometimes the standing position scanning is also required. Shave the area to be inspected and apply coupling agent. Microconvex probes and linear array probes from medium to high frequencies can be used for inspection. In order to completely examine the bladder and urethra, continuous cross-sectional and longitudinal scans are required. A moderately full bladder is best for bladder ultrasound. If the penile urethra needs to be examined, the perineum and prescrotal area may also need to be shaved.
