Canine distemper cannot be transmitted to cats. Only parvovirus can be transmitted to cats. Because feline distemper virus belongs to the parvovirus category, they can be cross-infected, while canine distemper virus does not belong to other infectious viruses in dogs. It is a parvovirus, so it will not cause cross-infection. Parents do not have to worry about canine distemper being transmitted to cats.

Tip:

Although canine distemper cannot be transmitted to cats, parvovirus can. If the dog has not been vaccinated, it is best to keep it separately from the cat to avoid cross infection.
