Cats can eat cooked liver. Animal liver is rich in protein, fat, vitamins, phosphorus and other nutrients, which are good for cats, and liver is very palatable to cats. But liver cannot be used as a staple food because the phosphorus-to-calcium ratio of animal liver is too high, and the phosphorus-to-calcium ratio is in the dozens. The phosphorus-to-calcium ratio of cat food should be 0.8 to 1.0. If the phosphorus-to-calcium ratio exceeds this ratio, the cat may be calcium deficient.

Precautions for feeding liver to cats:

1. First clean the liver and then cook it over high heat. Cats must not eat it without liver, and then cut the liver into pieces. Make it the size of a little finger, mix it with water and mix it into cat food for the cat to eat. About three to five pieces each time is enough.

2. Cats eating a small amount of liver is good for their health, but if a cat eats a large amount of liver, it will put a burden on the cat’s body. It is best to feed it 1-2 times a week.

3. Do not feed raw liver to cats. Be sure to cook it before feeding it, or feed cats liver powder.
