Cats cannot eat cooked sausages. Cooked sausages contain a lot of seasonings, which are greasy, heavy-flavored, and high in salt for cats. Cats’ gastrointestinal tracts are relatively fragile and difficult to digest human seasonings. If you feed cats cooked sausages, It may cause cats to have adverse reactions such as vomiting and diarrhea. Therefore, it is recommended not to feed cooked sausages to cats.

The dangers of cats eating a lot of seasonings:

1. Lack of necessary nutrients. Cats are carnivores and rely mainly on the animal protein in meat to maintain necessary life activities. Humans have a variety of diets, which taste good to cats, but cats fed human food for a long time will lack necessary nutrients including but not limited to protein and various trace elements.

2. Increase the burden on the gastrointestinal tract and make cats obese. Cats have short intestines and almost no amylase is secreted in their saliva. Carbohydrates only account for 1-2% of the cat’s diet. Therefore, cats cannot actually digest excess carbohydrates, and these foods will only burden the cat’s gastrointestinal tract.

3. Heavy oil and salt have a strong taste, but cats need a light diet. Most human food is heavy in oil, salt, and seasonings. It tastes great but is not good for cats. Cats' skin does not have developed sweat glands. If they often eat human food, they will not be able to metabolize normally, resulting in rough hair, severe hair loss, and even kidney disease. Various seasonings such as onions, ginger, garlic, pepper, aniseed, etc. are toxic to cats and can easily cause them food poisoning.
