There may be several reasons why a dog digs its den:

1. The dog may want to sharpen its claws in the den, perhaps because its claws are too long;

2. Dogs may be looking for the best posture to maintain body temperature. Dogs have strong thermal insulation and cold-repelling properties. When the weather is hot, they want to enter an air-conditioned room. When the weather is cold, they want to squeeze in a warm person to keep warm;
