Diseases that dogs are prone to in winter:

1. Colds. The temperature is low in winter, and if the warmth preservation measures are not in place, dogs are very susceptible to colds, accompanied by symptoms of fever, cough, and runny nose.

2. Viral infection. For example, parvovirus, canine distemper virus, adenovirus, infectious hepatitis, etc. Commonly occurs in unvaccinated puppies.

3. Skin diseases. Dogs are prone to frostbite in winter. If frostbite is not treated in time, it can easily lead to skin edema, chilblains, etc.

4. Cardiovascular system diseases. Dogs eat more in winter and are prone to obesity. Generally, obesity can easily lead to heart disease. Heart disease is a relatively common cardiovascular disease.

5. Joint diseases. In winter, when dogs live in cold places, their joints can easily catch cold, which can induce degenerative joint disease in the hip, knee, shoulder, and elbow joints, which is more common in older dogs.
