Methods to prevent dog food poisoning:

2. Store dog food at low temperatures. Food at high temperatures is prone to spoilage, so dog food also needs to be placed in a low-temperature, dry place to prevent stored food from spoilage.

3. The food bowls and water containers used by dogs also need to be cleaned before entering to prevent bacteria from multiplying and endangering the dog's health.

4. Do not let your dog eat food in the wild when you go out. Food in the wild is spoiled and broken, and it is easy for dogs to be poisoned if they eat it by mistake.

5. Food that seems suspicious must be fully heated and cooked to prevent poisoning. Staphylococci are extremely resistant to heat and cannot be sterilized even if heated. But Salmonella or Vibrio Enteritidis can be prevented if heated.

6. Prepare fresh food at all times, and do not put leftover food in food containers.

7. Toxic substances such as pesticides and rodenticides, various chemical substances, household cleaners, bleach, etc. should be preserved and managed carefully. Dogs can easily be poisoned by accidental ingestion.

Symptoms of dog food poisoning:

1. Foaming at the mouth, trembling and twitching, rapid heartbeat, rapid breathing, sensitivity to cold, etc.

2. Some may cause hypovolemic shock due to dehydration and electrolyte loss.

3. After some dogs accidentally eat poisonous substances, they will be extremely excited at first, and then they will twitch all over and foam at the mouth.

4. If a dog accidentally eats rodenticide or cockroach poison, his ears, eyes, nose, and mouth will bleed. In severe cases, it may cause nerve numbness, difficulty breathing, and even death.
