There is no specific medicine to treat folded-eared cats. Since folded-eared cats suffer from congenital diseases due to genetic mutations, there is currently no cure. They can only be slowed down by giving some chondroitin, nutrients, etc. The cat's illness and the careful care of the owner can also help the folded-eared cat to prolong its lifespan.

Symptoms of cats with folded ears

1. The tail is short and stiff and cannot be bent. Some sick cats are unable to wag their tails.

2. The hind limbs are too short, have abnormal bends, growths or lumps.

3. The joints of the limbs are swollen, and the toes are deformed due to joint swelling.

4. The rear sole is unusually thick. If you observe carefully, when the cat sits upright, the occiput meat of the hind paws does not touch the ground.

5. The toenails grow abnormally, and the foot pads are thicker than normal cats.

6. Folded-eared cats have similar symptoms on their forelimbs, but they are milder than those on their hind limbs, and they habitually lift their feet.
