Limping when a folded-eared cat walks is not necessarily a sign of illness. It may also be caused by a leg injury. When cats with folded ears become ill, they may limp on their hind limbs, raise their hands frequently, stoop and walk like walking on stilts, etc. But if it is only caused by leg injury, the cat with folded ears will only show a limp when walking. Therefore, it is recommended that owners take their folded-eared cats to the pet hospital for examination.

Symptoms of cats with folded ears:

1. Sitting in a posture similar to that of humans is because the cat’s joints are deformed and the waist and hips are forced to lie down.

2. The claws become shorter, thicker, swollen, and painful when pressed.

3. The tail becomes thicker, shorter, stiffer, and cannot be bent, causing pain.

4. The joints of the limbs are stiff and unable to bend, resulting in lameness and small jumping.

5. Unable to bounce, play normally.
