Fold-eared cats will still get sick when they are 4 years old. There is no saying that cats with folded ears will not develop the disease after a certain age. They may develop the disease at any age. Most cats with folded ears will develop symptoms when they are 2-6 months old. Some cats will start to develop symptoms after they are one year old, and some cats will only start to develop symptoms after they are six years old. When cats with folded ears become ill, they will have stiff tails and pain in the joints of their limbs.

Symptoms of cats with folded ears:

1. The tail is short, stiff, and cannot be bent. Some cats cannot swing their tails.

2. The hind paws are abnormally thick. When the cat sits upright, the pillow meat of the hind paws cannot directly touch the ground.

3. Swelling of joints in limbs.

4. Unable to jump normally, does not like to exercise, prefers to lie down and be quiet, and may also limp.
