Keeping horned frogs is not very smelly. However, the owner needs to pay attention to hygiene and change the water in the breeding box every 2 days, or immediately when the water becomes dirty. The excrement of horned frogs will be very smelly, so when you observe feces or dirt in the breeding tank, you need to clean it up in time. Generally, it is cleaned once every 1 to 2 days and fed once every 2 to 3 days. Be careful not to overfeed, otherwise the horned frog will easily vomit or even die.

How to raise horned frogs:

1. Raising environment: Spread a layer of coconut soil or soaked sponge evenly on the bottom of the breeding box, and lay out a large Basin, placed at an angle, with an inch of water on the lower side. The water level cannot be too deep or too shallow. Horned frogs are not very good at water. They spend most of their time on land, so the water level only needs to be above their backs to prevent them from drowning if they are too deep.

2. Feeding: The horned frog has a wide range of food habits. It will bite almost anything in front of it and then try to swallow it. However, it is forbidden to feed food such as mealworms and barley worms to prevent enteritis. Young frogs are fed every 3-4 days, and adult frogs are fed every 7 days or so. The food fed each time is about two-thirds of the body length of the horned frog. The food mainly includes insects, earthworms, Goldfish, suckling rats and frogs, etc.

3. Management: The temperature is controlled at 26-29°C, and the humidity is controlled above 85%. The water should be replaced every 2 days, and the coconut soil should be replaced every 30 days (according to the specific sanitary conditions, it can be replaced in advance ).
