Causes of serious cat hair loss in spring:

1. Periodic hair loss. The change of seasons represents a change in temperature, and in order to better adapt to the temperature of the environment and thereby reduce the hair on the body, the main purpose is to prevent overheating.

2. Physiological factors. Usually when cats are infected with catnip, cats will lose hair to varying degrees, resulting in round spots with obvious hair loss, as well as itching, white flakes and other symptoms.

3. Getting older. When cats enter old age, their body functions and organs begin to age, and their absorption of nutrients becomes weaker, which can lead to sparse hair and hair loss.

4. Malnutrition. If the nutrition is not kept up, it may become dull and sparse, leading to frequent hair loss.

5. Improper feeding. Feeding too sweet, too salty food and not drinking enough water will cause cats to shed hair to varying degrees. Raw meat or special cat food should be fed appropriately according to the cat’s health condition.
