Reasons for dogs that keep shaking:

1. Food poisoning. Dogs may tremble because they have eaten something toxic to them, or accidentally ingested human medicines or chemical cleaners. Typical symptoms of food poisoning are foaming at the mouth, convulsions or body shaking.

2. Physical discomfort. Shivering may also be a pathological symptom, such as chronic renal failure, neuromuscular disease, trauma, muscle problems, canine distemper, epilepsy, etc., which may cause dogs to tremble.

3. Fear. Dogs may start to tremble due to extreme fear and fear. For example, dogs may start to tremble when encountering unfamiliar environments, going to the pet hospital, or encountering thunder.

4. Calcium deficiency. If the dog has not eaten the wrong thing and keeps twitching, especially the twitching of the hind legs, it may be caused by calcium deficiency. Generally, dogs are most likely to lose a lot of calcium after giving birth, leading to postpartum convulsions.

5. The temperature is low. Your dog may be shivering simply because of the cold. If you take your dog out in cooler weather and find it shivering, it means it’s time to return to a warm home.
