Puppies taking amoxicillin can die if the dose is too high. The clinical manifestations of amoxicillin poisoning in dogs include listlessness, loss of appetite, nausea and vomiting, difficulty breathing, and sometimes neurological symptoms such as convulsions and lethargy. In severe cases, death may occur. Therefore, when a dog feels unwell, it is best to choose pet-specific drugs for treatment according to the condition to avoid indiscriminate use of drugs that may cause life danger.

What to do if your dog eats amoxicillin:

1. Use methods of inducing vomiting and gastric lavage, or use salt laxatives for catharsis.

2. Dogs that consume too much amoxicillin will become dehydrated and stop eating after being poisoned. It is recommended that they go to the hospital for treatment.
