Female cats can be neutered. Both female and male cats can be sterilized. To sterilize a female cat, the ovaries or uterus are surgically removed. Sterilizing a female cat can prevent the female cat from suffering from sexual organ diseases, such as uterine tumors, and currently the sterilization operation on female cats is relatively safe. If the cat owner does not have the need to breed the female cat, it is recommended that the female cat be sterilized at a suitable location. Take the female cat for neutering surgery at the appropriate age.

Precautions for sterilizing female cats:

1. When sterilizing female cats, avoid the estrus period.

2. The cat needs to be deprived of food and water for 24 hours before the operation, because the anesthetic will cause the cat to vomit, and if there is food, it will easily block the trachea and nasal cavity.

3. Keep warm after the operation to prevent the cat from catching cold.

4. Take a bath one week before the operation, and do not take a bath for one month after the operation.

5. Wear an Elizabethan circle. Prevent the cat from licking the wound and chewing the sutures.
