5. If there is bleeding, apply a pressure bandage before taking other measures.

6. Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation and compressions. In larger dogs, compressions should be performed on the widest part of the dog's chest (near the heart), but not directly on the heart.

Causes of shock in dogs

1. Hypovolemic shock is often caused by capillary constriction, dilation or ischemia caused by trauma, vomiting, diarrhea, etc. , congestion, causing the loss of a large amount of blood or body fluids to cause shock.

2. Septic shock is caused by viral and bacterial infections.

3. Anaphylactic shock, as you can see from the literal meaning, is a shock caused by dogs being allergic to certain substances. Note that anaphylactic shock may cause instant death of dogs, which is very serious. Dangerous.

4. Cardiogenic shock is related to cardiovascular disease and is often caused by acute myocardial infarction, severe arrhythmia, acute heart failure and acute myocarditis.

5. Neurogenic shock and traumatic shock. The former is caused by severe pain, spinal anesthesia accident, etc., while the latter is often caused by fractures, severe lacerations, crush injuries, burns, etc.
