There are many reasons why cats cannot urinate normally. In most cases, it is caused by stones in the urinary system.

Reasons for cats not being able to urinate:

1. Unsuitable environment. If a cat suddenly changes its life in another place, it will feel fearful and uncomfortable, which will also cause the cat to have difficulty urinating.

2. Don’t like to drink water. Some cats naturally like to eat dry food and do not drink water. Over time, when the concentration of a cat's urine increases, it may become impossible to urinate.

3. Cystitis. Spontaneous cystitis in cats. Spontaneous cystitis in cats can cause urethral spasms and severe pain reactions in cats, which affects the cat’s urination.

4. Urinary system stones. Urethral stones, bladder stones, and kidney stones cause urination disorders.

5. Lack of exercise. Cats are used to lying down or lying on their stomachs after eating, which may cause crystals to form in the cat's body, causing the cat to have anuria.
