A cat may be able to hold on for about 10 hours without litter. The specifics will depend on the cat’s metabolic ability and the impact of the environment on it. Cats are used to going to the toilet in cat litter. Without cat litter, they may hold it in until they can no longer hold it in and find other places to excrete. If a cat has a fast metabolism and the body excretes more waste faster, then It probably won't last long.

There is no substitute for cat litter

1. Rice. Rice is relatively close to the graininess of cat litter, and cats will easily accept this substitute. However, rice does not absorb water well and does not form clumps, so it must be cleaned up in time.

2. Waste paper. Tear the highly absorbent waste paper into small strips and use it for cats instead of cat litter. You can also choose cotton diaper pads, etc.

3. Noodles. Dried noodles have better water absorption, but they are more troublesome to clean and will cause bugs to grow over time. They cannot replace cat litter for a long time.
