Parents who have raised dogs also know that each dog has its own unique characteristics, so when raising different dogs, we cannot raise them exactly according to the previous methods of raising dogs, otherwise we will not be able to take good care of them. The dog’s health is improved. Take the Pekingese as an example. The most important thing we should pay attention to when raising Pekingese is the Pekingese’s glasses, because everyone knows that the Pekingese has large eyes and a lot of secretions, so we We should always pay attention to the Pekingese dog’s eyes. Let’s analyze the Pekingese dog’s eye care issues with you and see how we should care for the Pekingese dog’s eyes in daily life.

Compared with other breeds, Pekingese dogs have many unique characteristics, and owners should pay special attention to them when caring for them. For example, Jingba is a broad-faced, flat-nosed dog that is prone to hypoxia. Sultry weather often causes breathing difficulties, so you should pay attention to sun protection in hot weather to avoid heat stroke. Another example is that Jingba’s eyeballs are large, exposed, and have a large contact surface with the outside world, making them prone to trauma and bacterial infection. Also, Jingba is a long-haired dog with very rich hair, so it should be combed once a day, etc. Here I would like to focus on the care of the eyes, which is the most prone to problems in Jingba.

If you find that Jingba often scratches his eyes with his claws or blinks constantly, it is likely that there is something wrong with his eyes and he feels pain. If it is caused by a foreign object entering the eye, you can use eyewash to wipe it out - open its eyes, soak the linen bandage with eyewash, and then wipe the eyes. The symptom of eye trauma is that one of the dog's eyes suddenly becomes very painful or cannot be opened. You need to carefully look for obvious foreign objects, especially glass particles, and then carefully remove them. You can also wash its eyes with clean hot water to flush away the foreign objects. Do not put your dog in an environment that is too bright. Take it to the hospital as soon as possible and stop it from rubbing its injured eyes with its paws or rubbing its eyes with objects.

Pekingese dogs may also have trichiasis in their eyes, which means inverted eyelashes, irritating the eyeballs, causing eye pain and redness, blurred vision, conjunctival inflammation, and corneal turbidity. These problems can cause serious damage or even blindness. You should ask a qualified veterinarian to perform surgery to cut off part of the eyelids (similar to double eyelid surgery in humans). If the surgery is unsuccessful, the eyelids will be too small and the eyeballs will be more exposed. Of course, in addition to surgical therapy, electrolysis can also be used to remove it.
